Banana Birds™ are fanciful characters who bring a message of joy and happiness to all.

I have made the images as blank cards, greeting cards, boxed cards and posters. They are an excellent product for the wholesale market and retail to individuals who are looking for unique images.

My images are hand painted on panels or drawn on paper with colored pencils. I do not use Ai. We support our local businesses for production, printing and website management.

I designed my original Banana Birds™ image while studying Studio Arts at the University of Virginia with some excellent professors; Robert Barbee, Ted Turner and James Hagan. I have created images all my life through painting, sculpture, jewelry and now Banana Birds™.

A few years ago when Elizabeth and I learned that we would be the grandparents of twin boys I recalled that image from college and started a project to design more of these wonderful loving characters.

Banana Birds™ merchandise can serve as morale-boosting presents for families of newborn babies, for kids in hospitals, people who want to decorate a child’s room or just enjoy really sweet images.

Fast forward to 2025! This story has “hatched” into the Banana Birds Family™ that is developing as I write. We hope that you will enjoy the cards and prints as much as we do!
